Brain Health - Try New Things

Most of our days, weeks and months are routine - habits we have developed and continue to develop over time. We mostly run on Auto-pilot.

Our brain and its connections are cementing in pathways every time we do the habitual task. Although this is good for efficiency, it does not allow for growth and development.

Trying new things, or doing old things in a new way can be VERY beneficial to your nervous system.

  • Try brushing your teeth with the opposite hand,

  • opening doors with your non-dominant hand,

  • dry yourself after a shower in reverse order,

OR pick up a whole new skill or pastime. You'll be amazed at the sense of joy, youthfulness and immense satisfaction it can bring.

Give it a go.

Walk tall, smile lots!
